Clocks in the UK are planning to advance by one hour soon. This will result in trains being an hour late and a few workers to clock in an extra hour. Researchers argue this change will not save significant energy, dispelling the myth that it does. The change will happen during the switch from the third to the second nights, and daylight saving time will be made permanent, ending the need for future adjustments.
